The Dichotomy of Aquarians

"Aquarians can be categorized into two distinct types. The first type can be described as patient, gentle, sensitive and shy. While the second type can be described as an exhibitionist, is livelier, exuberant and uses frivolity to conceal different aspects of their personality. In spite of their apparent differences, both types still possess strong wills and firm beliefs in their convictions. One of the great traits Aquarians have is their ability to set aside biases when it comes to hearing different sides of a story. Due to their steadfastness and belief in upholding the truth, they are always willing to listen to the different points of view.
When it comes to love and relationships, Aquarians struggle to balance the emotional aspect from the mental patterns they are used to. Usually, when Aquarians are in a relationship, they always seem to keep an arm’s length from their partners just to ensure they still have the time and space for themselves. If you are dating an Aquarius, don’t even think about playing mind games because they will not put up with it for one second.
The only thing that matters to them is the truth and being honest about everything. They would probably rather hear bluntness than get caught up in a dramatic feud between torn lovers. The reality of relationships for Aquarians is that it isn’t the number one priority. Their concerns are more focused on the problems of society and the world.
Being jealous is not synonymous with being an Aquarius. But while they may tolerate flirting to a certain level, they might as well let a lover go than start being green-eyed. Also, Aquarians are not romantic in the sense that they are not demonstrative. They won’t be all too verbal either. You may be disappointed about not hearing “I love you,” but you’re sure to have someone listen to you after a bad day. After all, your Aquarius is, first and foremost, your best friend.
Aquarians possess a number of positive traits. They are considered to be very friendly and have a natural humanitarian aspect about them as well. Hence, they aren’t the type of people to judge someone by their social class, appearance, or religion. Furthermore, you can also trust them to be genuinely loyal and honest to their superiors and peers. These are vital trademark traits of Aquarians because they are closely linked to their dignity and pride. They will never compromise their morality and ideals for anything. The reason why Aquarians are such pivotal movers and shakers in society is due to their creativity and originality. They aren’t scared to think outside of the box and will do whatever it takes to get the task done. And lastly, one of the most amiable traits Aquarians possess is their independent and intellectual nature. They are truly in a league of their own and they do not succumb to conformity and bandwagon trends.
On the other hand, Aquarians also possess a couple of negative traits as well. Their intractability and perverseness are oftentimes frowned upon by their peers. Moreover, their tendency to become detached and unemotional makes them unbearable to be around at times due to their cold personality. The difficulty with the negative traits of Aquarians is that they want you to either accept them or avoid them. They will not accommodate you just because you aren’t pleased with their personality. This is why, at times, Aquarians tend to get singled out in conservative groups."

Very happy to say that I've settled nicely into the new place. Everything's set up and unpacked and it finally feels like home. Everyone's very friendly here. So helpful. Traffic isn't that bad. Places are close by. We get everything we need. The only downside is that there's no cinema here. Which means I'll be traveling up north frequently now and I can't wait. This semester doesn't exactly seem like a particularly busy one so am really looking forward to some traveling.  Just finished watching Northanger Abbey. Was checking my hair with the phone's front cam and one thing led to another and I took about twelve selfies just like that. Heh. I tell you the things I do when I'm alone. Completely hooked on Downton Abbey. Finished season four and half of season three yesterday. Can't wait for season five to start. Also waiting for season eleven of Grey's Anatomy.  I  have unlimited WiFi. No more quota nonsense so have been ca...

#100

We had our Christmas event yesterday evening. Caroling practice was only for 4 days because it was such short notice but everyone did a fantastic job.  And I've finally lost my voice.  I think we clean up pretty nicely despite looking like ogres on usual weekdays. Heh. Almost done with our Paeds posting. Another week before exams begin. Will be spending a few days at home for Christmas. Not too sure about New Year, though. Really don't want to spend it alone here. Hmm. Updates, updates. Let's see. My Vaio is giving me some problems. I took it to the computer centre the other day and they updated my graphic driver but videos still aren't playing properly. Wonder if it's the display driver that needs to be looked into.  Still not sure if I'll be upgrading my Lenovo to the Xperia. Crossing my fingers in the hopes that mom & dad will surprise me for Christmas :P Went around looking for a rabbit a week ago but couldn't find one. Really ...

It's Dr., Now!

It's been 10 days since my final professional exam & announcement of my results. I'm a doctor. & though I've been studying my entire life to reach this stage it still feels so surreal. It still feels like I need to head back south to continue with classes. Like I'm still on some semester break that is going to come to an end. Every so often throughout my day it hits me; I don't have to study anymore - for now at least. But then this though gets clouded over by other things & I forget. I have to constantly keep reminding myself that I've made it. I've actually, finally made it this far. As daunting as this whole new chapter - that's about to begin - is, part of me is excited to start. I'm excited to see where my future takes me, not only in which field of medicine I decide to pursue but also to which place. Big cities are out of the question for me. I realized, over the past couple of days, that since I've left th...
