Fat Flush Water Diet

I read about this Fat Flush Water Diet thing online a couple of days back and decided to give it a go.  Apparently it was featured on The Biggest Loser and all that. Not that I wanna lose weight or anything (Weeeeell, maybe just a little). Healthy is good, no?  But yeah basically if I'm on this so-called diet I wouldn't need to spend on food 'till I go back home at the end of next week. NYEAH. Okay so. I went to Jusco, bought everything I needed and started it yesterday. Since I woke up this morning I've had two bananas, two mandarin oranges and about eight square peanut biscuits and one 250ml bottle of that water I'm supposed to drink. It's now fifteen minutes to three in the afternoon. And I can't bloody stop peeing. It's so bloody annoying. Worth the try either way.  The Vitamin C turns fat into fuel. The cucumber makes you feel full. And the oranges increase your sensitivity to insulin. Or so I read. For every 250ml ...

Of Conquered Places

Took daddy out into town today to show him around. Went to the night market. Or JB Bazaar as they call it. Walked around for a while. They've got some pretty cool stuff if you actually take the trouble to look around.    Passed this place by. 'My Little Corner'. It's a salon I read about recently where some of the local artistes go to apparently.  No idea what this building is being used for but it looked...very colonial.  And then I showed him this place. Roost Cafe. We went upstairs to see what it's like and he was really taken by it. Such a funky place with a really cool concept. Guess this is where I'll be hanging out on weekend nights from now on. And after reading about this on the 'What's Going On In Johor Bahru' page for ages I finally gave it a try. Had saffron rose tea with pearls. Definitely this place over Chatime any day. Love the simple concept and their teas simply taste that much better. Very pleasant owner. Will be ...

Dil Bole Hadippa!

It's 4.54 in the wee hours of the morning and we're all still wide awake, practicing our dance steps for Saturday night. And for all my friends who've always said I'm never, and will never be, one to camwhore, I hereby prove you wrong xD :D

Change

Experiences have this tendency to change who you really are. They change your outlook on life, they change your perspective on things, they change your behaviour, your attitude, your character. They change your feelings, too. I've changed a lot over these past few years. Especially over this past year and a half. I'm not the tomboy I once was back in school. I don't despise skirts and dresses anymore. And pink really isn't that bad a colour. But aside from the good, there's also the bad. I've become very serious about many things. I'm not as laid back as I once was. I've become, to a certain extent, pretty sensitive about things said about me. Even when teased. I've become very cold. If I don't particularly like someone I can completely wash my hands off and ignore them without a hint of remorse or regret. Which is not something I'm proud of. I don't reply to messages as instantly as I used to. Be it Facebook message...

:)

It's like I'm living someone else's life. But I'm not. And it feels...weird.  (Yes this is the little four-wheeler that has taken my freedom and independence to a whole new level.) I'm just six weeks shy of turning twenty-one. All the responsibility... *Hides under rock*

Emerald

I have officially turned into a shop-a-holic. Went out with the girls today for some shopping. Had my eye set on a lovely white dress from Cotton On back home but since I didn't have much space in my luggage bag to bring it back to JB I thought I'd be able to buy the same dress here instead. Much to my dismay, the dress that I was looking for had sold out -.- ALL the colours and ALL the dresses. Imagine that.  Anyway we continued walking around. Bought another top from MNG since their sale was still going on. Checked out stuff at Top Shop but nothing caught my eye.  And then we went into Dorothy Perkins. Usually most of the clothes there are only so-so. But this time round: OMG! Everything was so lovely. The dresses were so beautifully designed and they had so many coloured jeggings I fell instantly in love. Walked around and found a pair of dark red jeggings. It was a size too big though. Tried on a beige one and it fit perfectly but I didn't want that colour. ...

January 2nd 2013

The past week has been...good. There's really no other adjective I'd use to describe it.  Was good to be back home with the family again. Good to be home for Christmas and New Year. Good to be back in the comfort and warmth of my room. Good to hold both the dogs, take them for walks and let them lick my face again. Good to have home-cooked food again. Good to catch up with our family friends and my own friends again. It was really good. Went to this really cute place that's just recently opened back in town. Burps & Giggles by the same owners of Indulgence.  When you see it from the outside you'd think it's some trashy old place that probably isn't all that good but when you step inside. Man that's when you see what it's really like. Nooks and crannies everywhere. Small little rooms like holes in the wall. Quaint little place. Really different. Quite pricey to be honest. Our burgers were RM18 each. The chocolate drink was RM15. Mango and ...
