Instagram!

I'm finally on Instagram :D
Had an account for years but never made use of it until now and I can't stop liking posts and pictures. Sceneries, flowers, everyday people taking such amazing shots.
Have uploaded a few pictures that I've taken over the past few months.
The effects are great though. I usually use PicMonkey to edit some of my pics so they turn out looking sharper or brighter and stuff but I love the ones that are on Insta. Really nice.
Shout out to all you crazy lovely people reading this. If you're on Instagram, follow me!
It's instagram.com/shageeth or just shageeth.

I've recently been nominated for the Liebster Blog Award thanks to a friend of mine I've only known via Facebook for some years now. The blog post for that is still being drafted. I've been posed some pretty tricky questions /;) Haven't been blogging as frequently as I used to coz I didn't bring my laptop back home this time round. Didn't think I'd have much use for it. Things have been a little...crazy here to say the least. I'm actually twenty-one now. Though I must say, the word 'freedom' was never synonymous with this age. All I ever related to this milestone was responsibility. Funny. It's been such a rollercoaster ride of emotions. I could never completely describe it. I've been thinking about how I've celebrated my birthdays all these years. Two birthdays I celebrated away from home. My eighteenth, which was in the UK with Aunty M and Uncle T, and my twentieth, which was in Johor with my classmates and a once...

Foodie Review #1

Was in Malacca early this morning with a friend to get some things done. Decided to head on over to The Daily Fix Cafe along Jonker Street for brunch.  Because we were both on a (very, very, very) tight budget (but still wanted to check it out) we ordered two breakfast meals and shared them. First up we have the Pandan Pancakes with Gula Melaka. The picture doesn't do it any justice, unfortunately.  The pancake itself was soft and fluffy and had just the right amount of pandan flavour of which we caught wafts as it was served. Was pleasantly surprised as I cut into it and found the brown sugar filling. The pancakes absorbed the brown sugar syrup so occasionally I bit into chunks of brown sugar. The coconut on the side made it that much richer and the vanilla ice-cream sort of brought it all together. Perfect if you're looking to try something different with local flavours. Then we had the Eggs Benedict. This was a bit of a tease because the bacon looked so bloo...

Speed Reading...

...one of the many things I've acquired over the many years through my love affair with books. I just put down Tracy Anne Warren's 'His Favourite Mistress'. And I scrunched up my nose and literally went "Awww" after reading the finals lines of the book. A typical romance novel, set during and after World War II, although the war in itself was not described. It starts off with the seventeen-year-old heroine, Gabrielle, going after a man in vengeance for killing her father.  Or so she thought.  In actual fact, this man she goes after, Rafe, was attacked by her father and whatever happened was the exact opposite of what she was told. So she sneaks up on him in his study one night dressed as a man and points a gun at him and says his time has come only to realize that the person she's about to shoot isn't Rafe. It's Wyvern. His wit, charm and good looks catch her off guard and he manages to get a hold of her gun, disarming her just as ...
